During my participation in the program, I was assigned to Mariano Marcos State University, a respected public university located in the province of Ilocos Norte in the northern part of the Philippines. More than just a placement, this university became the starting point of a journey filled with learning, growth, and meaningful experiences.
Established in 1978 through the integration of several institutions in the region, Mariano Marcos State University has grown into one of the leading centers of higher education in Northern Philippines. It offers a wide range of academic programs from teacher education to engineering, agriculture, business, and health sciences reflecting its commitment to academic excellence and innovation.

Reflection
Participating in the SEA Teacher Program has truly been one of the most unforgettable chapters in my academic journey. What once felt like something beyond my reach slowly became a reality one that challenged me, changed me, and helped me grow in ways I never expected.
Through this journey, I learned that growth often begins with courage. There were moments when I felt unsure of myself, especially when facing new environments and communicating in a different language. Yet, those moments became the very reason I learned to be more confident, more open, and more willing to take risks.
This program did not only take me to another country it took me beyond my own limits. I was given the chance to learn more deeply, to see education from a wider perspective, and to experience life in a way that I had never imagined before. Along the way, I met incredible people who inspired me, supported me, and became part of my journey.
I am truly grateful for this opportunity. The SEA Teacher Program has allowed me to grow not only as a future educator, but also as an individual who is braver, more independent, and more appreciative of the world’s diversity.
This journey may have lasted only 28 days, but the lessons, memories, and connections I gained will stay with me for a lifetime. And for that, I will always be thankful.
