On the following day, we had the opportunity to explore more of Mariano Marcos State University and become more familiar with the environment that would soon become part of our daily lives.

We met several lecturers and the people in charge who would guide and support us throughout our journey. Meeting them felt truly inspiring being surrounded by such dedicated and passionate individuals made me feel both grateful and motivated.

During the campus tour, they also shared the history of the university, especially about the very first building. Standing there, I could feel how long it had been part of the university’s story the structure, the tiles, and many parts of the building are still original, preserved with only slight renovations. It felt like walking through time, where every corner held memories of the past.

What stood out the most was not only the history, but also the people. They welcomed us not just as guests, but as part of their community. Their warmth and friendliness made everything feel easier, turning an unfamiliar place into something that slowly felt like home.

In that moment, I realized that a place becomes meaningful not only because of where it is, but because of the stories it holds and the people we meet along the way.

One of the things I loved the most was visiting Marcos Stadium. The stadium is incredibly large and was newly inaugurated on February 24, 2023. There was something so special about that place I could already imagine myself spending afternoons there, exercising while watching the sunset slowly paint the sky. It felt peaceful, yet full of life at the same time.
